Write your monthly mission / goal statement with my an example
Whenever I’ve felt a bit down or unproductive were usually during periods without a personal goal statement. I always carry a little notebook with me (I do love my gadgets, however nothing has still been able to replace the humble pencil and paper for me). On the pack of the notebook, I’ve printed my goal mission statement. My notebook usually becomes full after 20-30 days where I then replace it and include a new mission / goal statement at the back.
I refer to my mission statement first thing in the morning, before sleep and many times in between. It really helps me keep in track of my goals, bad habit awareness, new habit building, quotes / principles I am pondering, things I’m slacking on, health etc.
I have gone with and without monthly mission statements. Honestly, I can’t do without one now. It has made tremendous difference and helped me progress in life.
Here is an example. I’ve got terrible hand writing, so if you are like me, I recommend typing it in a word processor and printing / sticking it at back of your notebook.

Mission Statement: Honest Work. Don’t hurt other. Gratitude for all I Have. Have fun along the way. Do 3 things that make you happy (From Happy List) remember you will die, and what people thought won’t matter. Do what you want. You live as if you were destined to live forever, no thought of your frailty ever enters your head, of how much time has already gone by you take no heed. You squander time as if you drew from a full and abundant supply, though all the while that day which you bestow on some person or thing is perhaps your last. Today you will divide tasks into 80 /20. From the 20% , Select 1 that MUST FINISH. And 1 that SHOULD. Complete all 20% before moving to 80%. Schedule your day. Know what you are eating at what time. Eat healthy. Exercise, and meditate. Read a nice book. Write! Free writing! Visit your Daily Goal spreadsheet. Visit ASANA. Check emails / Social media 1x per day only. Stay away from news. If something is important, you will be made aware. Take care of your skin, take your vitamins and supplements. Charge your electric toothbrush and use it!, sleep well. Be so good so they can’t ignore you. Track your BAD Habits. Don’t procrastinate. Do not multi-task. Keep Browser tabs to minimum. Switch off phone. You don’t need your phone if your day is planned. Reflect on your notes from yesterday. Take a cold shower. Do some mobility. Difference between extra ordinary income, and ordinary income, is FAST implementation. If you were born poor is not your mistake but if you die poor it is your mistake. What is measured can get improved. Main Goals: ********, Current Income Sources *******, *******, ********, *******, ****** Learn ****, Keep Fit, Stay Mindful, Watch your GAME TAPE before you go to sleep.
